With the development of automatic control and computer technology, remote monitoring and maintenance of devices and systems through the Internet is expected to become common in the near future. In this article, I present my thesis of this new field through the system of Elevator Remote Control in Buildings. This system enables remote monitoring and control of elevator systems status, from communications center through the local network, for immediate and effective response to any equipment malfunction.. Furthermore, this system can also supplies elevator-operation data and other maintenance-related information.The System software can be divided into five modules, architecture foundation module, remote monitoring and control module, data analysis module, event analysis module, and system management module. The thesis focuses on the first two modules. The main task of architecture foundation module is to build parameters architectures of the elevator groups and elevators , and transmit them from or to Embedded System through the local network. The second one mainly concerns on immediate monitoring and real time monitoring elevators status, which is realized by self-design components, remote controlling elevators to realize function of Enter Calls and Call Allowed Mask, and giving the priority of alert transmission.The techniques of WinSocket communication and multiple threads are used to develop the software.Chapter 1 proposes the significance and the current developing status of Elevator Remote Control in Buildings, and gives the task of the project.Chapter 2 introduces the selection of developing environment, some techniques , including C/S model, Winsock and multiple threads.Chapter 3 discusses the comprehensive design of the system , the design and function realization of each module is discussed in detail.Chapter 4 focuses on the design of the main thread ,the demon thread and the alert thread, from the perspective of thread concept. It also clarifies the mechanism of inter-thread communication and coordination.Chapter 5 concerns on the testing, debugging and result of the software.Chapter 6 summarizes the project and proposes a prospect for the developing of Elevator Remote Control System in Buildings.The Elevator Remote Control System in Buildings has been put into usesuccessfully, which indicates that the system design has been accomplished and the running status is fine.
