Vxi Bus Virtual Instrument Projectile Velocimetry

The appearance of VXIbus instrumentation provides excellent platform to realizing virtual instrumentation (VI) with high quality. Compare VXIbus virtual instrumentation with traditional instrumentation and other VI, it has many characteristics. It is a tendency that leading the new technique into weapon test field and establishing highly performance test systems with small volume. Based on this, the application of VXIbus virtual instrumentation in test and measurement of bullet speed is studied in this paper.The principle and method of bullet speed test and measurement are analyzed first. The principle and development of all kinds of target installation and speed testing instrumentation are summarized , a method of statistic speed of shrapnel is advanced.VI techniques are analyzed. The hardware platform and software framework are generalized and specified, a designing plan is put forward.
