| The scholars in Qing dynasty have achieved splendid results on Shuowen - Jiezi, but has fewer bibliography works comparing with other works, and even though such works has many questions and much discussion. In order to better off this situation and to offer a detailed booklist of Shuowen - Jiezi, this paper has appropriately put the studies on Shuowen - Jiezi in Qing dynasty into six categories according to the feature of Chinese character and Chinese academic tradition as well the works' content or/and author's purpose.The first category, textual criticism, which is the base of other works on Shuowen - Jiezi and can supply these works' value with essential prerequisite, provides 61 kinds typical works. The second category, classification, is composed of macrostructure and microstructure that helpful for primary study and further research, so the paper provides 32 kinds and 78 kinds typical works respectively. The third category, Chinese character, consists of Chinese character and the construction of Chinese character, so the paper provides 55 kinds and 14 kinds typical works respectively. The forth category, Chinese phonology, incorporating the initial, final and tone of Chinese character, provides 67 kinds typical works. The fifth category, exegetics, provides 64 kinds typical works, almost of which was synthetic study and reached highest academic level. The sixth category, quotation, provides 46 kinds typical works, almost of which is studying on the meaning of a character. |
