In the 90th,with the development and marriage of distributed client/server computing technology and object oriented technology,distributed object technology has come into being,and become the mainstream technology and an important computing paradigm of application integration and system development in distributed heterogeneous environment.Middleware is the key technology of distributed object technology. Traditionarily,method-oriented middleware uses a synchronous and tightly coupled communication module. In order to use in loosely coupled and workflow application,message-oriented middleware offers an asynchronous and loosely coupled communication module. The two middleware technology each has it's own advantage and disadvantage. CORBA messaging technology,which combines the advantage of the two middleware technology,can suit even more application scope.In this paper,based on the systemically analysis of the existd middleware technology,the author pointed out the value of CORBA messaging and it's technology characteristic. And then the author described the asynchronous method invocation technology and it's implementation in detail .The main works in this paper include the following:1.Made a widely study about method-oriented middleware and message-oriented middleware,pointed out their advantage and disadvantage.2.Base on a systemically study about CORBA meaasging,made an emphases on the asynchronous method invocation technology. By studying of the existed CORBA invocation module,pointed out the technology characteristic of asynchronous method invocation. Discussed the two module of asynchronous method invocation,pointed out their advantage and disadvantage and application scope.3.Based on deeply study of the callback module of the asynchronous method invocation,implemented the callback module. The key technology of callback module implementation is the design of multi-thread asynchronous ORB core the implementation of the replyhandler the exception handling and the design of asynchronous stub.4. Based on deeply study of the polling module of the asynchronous mothod invocation,implemented the basic part of the polling module. The key technology of polling module implementation is the design of invisible replyhandler and asynchronous stub.
