Packet Radio Networks, The Resource Fair Scheduling Policy

With the development of network industry, there are more and more applications of wireless network and mobile communication. Mobile Computing is a new conspicuous subject which uses computer technology and telecommunication technology to provide a mobile computing environment and a new computing model. The Mobile Internet is the focus of the modern computer communication field.Comparing with wire network, the communication board of wireless communication network is limited and many hosts share one broadcast channel in wireless packet cellar network. So providing a fair channel service is an urgent problem to solve. Fair Queuing Algorithms of wire network proves to be infeasible in wireless network due to the unique issues in the wireless channel such as location-dependent and bursty channel error.This paper presents a Centralized Packet Fair Queuing Scheduling Algorithm which applies the combination of WF2Q and STFQ and a Distributed Packet Fair Queuing Scheduling Algorithm which is a modification of the existing wireless local area network communication protocol IEEE802. 11.According to the research and experiments, the algorithms presented by the paper are effective which can better solve the problem of resource fair scheduling in Mobile Internet.
