| In resent year, Internet has taken on an explosive improvement in the global Scope it has changed from the traditional services such as file transfer, E-mail, telnet to the WWW accompanied with abounding applications of Multi-media. The rapid increase of users and the rising demand for bandwidth have led to constant enhancement of the data quantity on Internet, the heavy traffic of network and the continuous ascent of data-transfer delay, and all the three have postponed the development of Internet-Nowadays, raising the network velocity and reducing the Internet delay are two attractive techniques of Internet (TCP/IP), analyze the several factors causing the network delay and give estimating value of the factors attributing to data-transfer delay .Secondly, we analyze several current techniques including switching techniques, routing techniques and Cache techniques widely used in WWW. Based on these analyzes, we give a method that balances the load of server in order to reduce the network delay. In the former network design, we always put our emphasis on how to lower the average respond time of all servers, whereas the server with the slowest velocity determines the network delay. In order to reduce the delay, we should try to make all of servers to achieve balance. Only if the load of servers is roughly balanced, can the waiting time of users be cut down efficiently.In the last of paper, we give an entirely analysis of several fashionable techniques to resolve the network delay, and propose several schemes to help users to select appropriate one among them to reduce the network delay. |
