| EOS (Embedded Operation System) using Linux is an exciting program these years. Linux is a perfect choice because it has powerful ability in network. There are many reasons for it. Firstly, Linux running on EOS can provide all-purpose desk computing; in addition, it makes customizing easy because its source code is open to anyone. Secondly, chip designed for embedded OS, for example, Strong ARM, MIPS, ColdFire and PowerPC, are supported by Linux Finally, Linux is free, nothing will paid for using it. After miniaturization, Used as a sub-layer OS, Linux can be widely used not only in info-electric but also in industry control, remote measure and control and commutation equipment.Spring up of the embedded Internet technology is briefly introduced in the paper at first, and then way based on embedded Internet is also introduced, it can be seen that embedded Linux has a wide use in computer measure and control. The advantage of Linux and challenges are introduced in chapter 2, and then application is prospected. Systematic in the light of particularity of the embedded Linux, key technologies such as memory management, multi-tasking processing and file system are described in chapter 3. Chapter 4 is concerned about construction of Linux network terminal platform, at the same time all details in porting are described in depth. The development mode and how to add the driver is analyzed in Chapter 5. Chapter 6 by taking an example application based on embedded Linux gateway system in measure and control is elaborated. This example includes Linux serial communication, network communication and CGI etc. Finally single chip system is connected with Internet through Web Server. Through debug and test, expected aim is attained. |
