In one-hundred-volume Dazheng buddhist scriptures, the 85th volume is the only one that mainly collect Buddhist texts from Dunhuang scriptures. From linguistics' view, the Dunhuang scriptures of the 85th volume are not only the new materials for studying buddhist scriptures, but also good ones for studying common words and common phrases of Dunhuang documents. In February , 1932, the 85th volume of Dazheng buddhist scriptures was published by Tokyo' sDazang publishing house. Mr. Zuojingquan once pointed out that the Volume was "full of erroneous words. " Therefore, the main job of this article is to make a systematic textual research and reorganization. In addition, in the course of my reading and correctting this volume, I noticed that a lot of mistakes were caused by not understanging common words. Hence, studying common words is also my article' s important task.Besides, among the 85th volume of Dazheng buddhist scriptures, there are many common phrases which "have been produced lately from colloquial language" and those which "exist too early but their meaning has changed. " Consequently, in my article I try to make studying and explanation about some phrases from the 85th volume of Dazheng buddhist scriptures.
