With The Crt Function Digital Signal Generator

This paper introduces a digital signal generator with CRT shown. This instrument not only has the normal functions of signal generators, but also can display the waveforms and parameters of input signal in real time. The user can watch the aberrations of signals and frequencies and Vpps from the generator or from outside on LCD.The author mainly introduces the designs of software and hardware. It includes the high speed data acquisition system and display system based on microchip and CPLD, the equivalent sampling system based on frequency synthesizer and the USB2. 0 interface. It also introduces the main technologies of high speed board designs and the USB protocols. It emphasizes the realizations of 40MSPS data acquisition with low speed microchip CPLD and high speed ADC by low costs, and the realizations of equivalent sampling 75MHz signals in a simple way with equivalent sampling rate 4GSPS. Above all, this instrument has three characters: the first, CRT show; the second, USB interface; the third, low costs and a simple realization of equivalent sampling. The current products have not these merits.At the end of this paper, constructive schemes of the instrument future development and reference book are provided.
