This paper analyzes the business environment of enterprises in network society, and holds that has four characteristics: the first is, the electronic business will be the mainstream and evolve into business cooperation; the second is, the supply chain emphasizing the exchange of information will transform into agile supply chain; the third is, the optimism of value chain in one enterprise and the competition between those value chains will become the optimism of value chain in one industry and the competition between those value chains; the fourth is, more and more companies recognize that they should enhance their core capability and ally with other company. The best pattern of organization is event trigger organization and that requires its business platform can extend function and dynamically alter business process. Because the data models of ERP, CRM, and SCM system are not in common, it is too difficult to integrate those systems. And the other disadvantage is the long implement period, high cost, low success rate, difficult to maintain, which are the results of rigid theory, constrained function, the construct of software system lack of flexible. XERP overcomes those disadvantages. Based on a common enterprise model, XERP inherit, extend, and reconstruct the function of ERP, CRM, and SCM. Its critical characteristic is high degree flexible-it can extend function and dynamically reconstruct its construct of software system. There are two techniques to implement that, the first is enterprise compute architecture six-layer model that contain HNL (Hardware Network Layer), OSL (Operation System Layer), DBL (DataBase Layer), ASL (Application Server Layer), BFL (Business Framework Layer), BSL (Business System Layer); the second is business framework model which depart enterprise application system into many business components .The business components are independent and provide services to others through their consistent interface. The business components are composed by business objects and business processes. Business object is the basic object processed by the activity of enterprise operation, such as order, invoice, and inventory item. Business process describes the process logic of business object. There also has developed a simple application system to demonstrate how to build XERP utilizing techniques discussed in this paper.
