Design And Implementation Of The Block Device On A Network Computer

The kernel technique of Network Computer (NC) is its bottom implementation mechanism. Network Block Device (NBD) is a technique in linux environment which controls remote network resources and supports local file systems by simulating a local block device. In this thesis, the method of building NBD into linux kernel is discussed in detail. Then, introduces the implementation of a simple network layer protocol base on Ethernet especially designed for NBD and also indicates a concrete implementation scheme of remote data management in NC. analysing on security and performance as well as At last, we draw a conclusion through comparing NBD with other similar techniques.
