In the society of information, users expect that computer can serve us information in a way for men' s custom. The technology of multimedia came into being. With it the txt menu of computer has become I ifel ike and more convenient to users. Users could not only learn and work by txt information, but also by static or moving picture and sound, and join or modify the demonstration of information too. Then the technology of multimedia communication came into being. In general, due to its huge volume of video data, video information is always stored and transmitted in compressed form. The development of video communication is strongly supported by the advances in the research on video compression algorithms and release of coding standards.When transmission video over an open network,like the Internet,The system usually has no central on dynamically changing and unpredictable network traffic. MPEG decoder is sensitive to error in the stream , even one bit error will hurt the stream seriously. So the techonlogy of error control and error concealment is necessary to MPEG encoding and decoding application. I n th i s paper, we analyze error infect i on to picture and give a practicable method in errro dection. Some new error concealment algorithms are also presented. This algorithms are applied in DVD decoder system based on MS DShow and Intel MMX technology.To interlace or not to interlace devides the television and personal computer communities. Deinterlacing is a basic requirement for video scaning format conversions. At last of this paper, we analyses the interlaced video signal and deinterlacing based on signal processing theory,and discussed the condition for perfectly restoring the original signal and the method to design a deinterlacing filter.
