| RESEARCH BACKGROUNDWith the development of the information technology and the popularization of the network application, it becomes necessary to develop the remote education. The remote education system changes traditional teaching ways, reforms teaching material contents, shortens the space distance of both teaching parties in educating applications. There are not only languages, characters and symbols but also figures, pictures, cartoons and video information in the system which makes the students who accept the remote education receive the diversified forms of information through many kinds of sense organs, then enlightening the image of their brains and logical thoughts, and achieve the goal of strengthening and accelerating the understanding. Besides, the teaching way breaks through the restrictions of place so that the students of distant place can receive teachers "face-to-face" guide through multimedia, seeming on the spot in person, while teachers have teaching courses of purpose according to the students' response. Utilizing the interactive study system, the students adjust the studying progress according to their own study situation . If it connects broadcast systems, mobile communication systems , the large-scale database systems of the area , the storehouses of courses and so on, a piece of multimedia study environment has courses without walls and classrooms , libraries, reference rooms so various kinds of students in society can study at office, at home, even in the car, in the journey, draw knowledge and get various kinds of information. The remote education reaches the achievable result that is not gotten from the traditional education . RESEARCH IDEA AND METHODSAt SWUFE-ONLINE,I have conducted some helpful explorations to realize the remote education by network techniques. At one-year efforts as much as more than, SWUFE-ONLINE has reached the scale of ten thousand students, succeeding in the multimedia aid to students, exchanging lesson between teachers and students on the technological platform and advanced real-time management control, etc. In the course of research of platform construction, we adopt COM( or COM +) thought of Microsoft applying ActiveX DLL packages in the remote education network technological platform of three layers of structure based on WEB when we follow combination of theory and practice, and absorb SWUFE-ONLINE experience .Because Windows system is used widely at users' favor, IE browser has become a indispensable tool used to surf. At present the development trend Internet network is to adopt the B/S structure to replace the C/S structure ( including three layers of structure based on middle softwares) so the system of the remote education based on WEB server becomes the development trend . For ASP is used extensively for the construction of Web site for its simple , strong function programming and joining with Windows system without gaps, the developing platform of ASP is caught sight of.There are two kinds of scripts including VBScript and JavaScript in the developing platform of ASP. Generally speaking, the server is suitable comparatively with VBScript script as it is comparatively convenient to use DLL ActiveX package and that of the third party. It is comparatively flexible to use JavaScript script in the client terminal. When we operate all accessing databases in encapsulation at Data Access Layer by ActiveX DLL packages (DAL layer, Namely data access layer),and operate all business logic or transaction processings in encapsulations at Business Logic Layer ( BLL layer, namely business logic layer), ASP dynamic webpages are offered to the interface of user for Presentation Layer ( PL layer, Namely present layer).
