Between the first year of TongZhi and the twentieth GuangXu (1862-1894),the government of Qing Dynasty had attained, with the efforts by those resurgence-ministers, a serials of achievements in the fields of military, politics and economics and the depressive vision in the of DaoGuang and XianFen had onced been replaced by the so-called "resurgent" era.The dissemination of idea, limited by the material condition, was then mainly transmitted along with books, while publication usually embodied the change and tendency in ideology. Thus, this paper attempts to understand the ideology during the era through-the study in the publications of Confucius, which was the backbone of the "resurgent" idea. It is the culture study in the ancient book publication, which is based on the philology but is not limited by the traditional philology, that is adopted in the paper. The study prevails aboard, especially in western academia while has not yet been with parallels in China. The existed studies in the publication in the era, which is mainly focused on the publication institutes, are not in the same level as the paper, which is concentrated at the relation between publication and social ideas. The main body of the paper includes two sections: the first section, which is on the study in those publishers of Confucius books in the "TongGuang-resurgence" era , introduces the basis situations of which the publications prints Confucius books, especially emphasizes the features in the publishing houses emerged recently, with the official presses and those using the stone-printing technique included. The next section is on the classification in the Confucius books publication. It analogies the characters of the Confucius books publication at that time from the contents, which covers the way Confucius canons are pressed, the age Confucius books are indited and the respective modes Han-Confucius and Song-Confucius are printed. Thus we achieve some conclusions about Confuciusism resurgence in that society.Since there has not been a special catalog which records the press of Confucius books during "TongGuang-resurgence" era, we supplement an appendix, the catalog on Confucius books pressed during "TongGuang-resurgence" era, which integrates library records in Shanghai library, Fudan University and ECNU, and other book records. We hope it will be to someway helpful for studying Confucius books press in the era.
