Agent-based Intelligent Tutoring System

There are many problems in traditional teaching system based on network, such as low intelligence, poor testing and evaluating function and lack of dynasty interaction . Intelligent tutoring system is an overall system involved in Al .computer science , pedagogy and psychology , and therefore it can avoid the disadvantages existing in traditional teaching system. The technology based on Agent is better suited to developing elaborate systems. Then a model of Intelligent Tutoring System based on Agent is presented in this thesis .The author analyzed the structure of system and functions of every Agent ,studied the rules of how to regulate teaching methods and gave his opinions on taking up active teaching ,using such method as knowledge representation .He argued that students' ability can be tested and predicated through non-linear return equation method . According to the base and ability of student, Intelligent tutoring system based on Agent can adjust teaching methods.Intel 1 igent tutoring system based on Agent technology can solve the problems of present teaching system on network , offering students a new choice . Furthermore it can help to deal with shortage of staffs after enlarging enrolment of students in universities , and then relieve instructors' pressure .Consequently .students can be instructed in accordance of theiraptitudes .
