Comparing with common control systems, networked control systems(NCSs) require less wire and maintenance, and they are applied in modern industry more and more. Introduction of network into NCSs makes delays random in the network. In order to solve the problem, we analyze the characteristics of networks(Ethernet, ControlNet and DeviceNet), based on which we describe jump of delays by transition probability matrix, which is needed in studying discrete-time jump systems, and discuss the stability of networked control systems by the method of stability analysis in discrete-time jump systems.
