In this paper we discribes how to use object-oriented software engineering and oneof the object-oriented develop methods--UML in software design and developprocess based on the MIS of graduate school firstly. Secondly, we discuss the appliance of Multi-tier Distributed System and how to develop the MIS distributed architecture using Dephi. At the end of this paper, we analysis the security problem that the MIS confronted. In order to protect the network from intrusion, hard-ware firewall is used. We also develop a mode for the user access control using RBAC, and a file protect system to protect the web site.
