It is a pop subject in the domain of computer graphics for modeling and simulation in virtual environment. It is also a important technology to this thesis. A three-dimensional graphic simulation platform is brought out in this thesis, used to visualize the simulation processing. The visual simulation of the virtual cannon power control system is implemented to aim, track and shoot objects in the sky, this technique is based on the virtual simulation technology and object-oriented design method.The main contents of this paper include: the geometry modeling with 3D modeling software 3DS MAX and a deeper analyze on 3DS file format; the simulation technology of trajectory orbit on the basis of the firepower control system theory; the sky and terrain modeling and rendering with OpenGL; qualitative analysis and quantitative research on collision detection; graphic programming method using OpenGL function library under VC environment of MFC and realizing the control of movement. The paper has finished the design and realization of virtual cannon firepower control system simulation platform, the display of virtual interactive scenes, the trajectory simulation of cannon.
