Anonymous Communication System Simulation Evaluation Platform

With the rapid development of computer network, the Internet has become one of the most important tools used to communicate and transmit information, which is accept by more and more people. Therefore, the problem of safe and privacy has become obvious. It becomes one of essential demand to protect identification of legal users in some applications such as E-Voting, E-Banking, and E-Commerce.However, current anonymous communication systems lack practical and effective evaluation research. Therefore, evaluation research for anonymous communication system is a challenging task in information security research field. Currently, relative theories are immature, especially the research about evaluation for anonymous communication systems. Through the research of representative anonymous communication systems and relative attack means, research and implementation of anonymous communication system simulation and evaluation platform are introduced in the paper.There are two subsystems in anonymous communication system simulation and evaluation platform: anonymous communication simulation subsystem and data collection subsystem. Anonymous communication simulation subsystem simulates the reroute mechanism of anonymous communication system; data collection subsystem collects and analyses data in network. There are some problems in the process of design and implementation of the platform and they are all discussed and solved in the paper.The implementation of anonymous communication simulation and evaluation platform provides feasibility for evaluation research for anonymous communication system. Based on the realization of anonymous communication simulation and evaluation platform, an evaluation experiment for anonymous communication systems is represented in the paper. Experiment module is constructed at first and with them project and process of the experiment are designed subsequently. Simulated experiment objects are two representativeanonymous communication systems: Crowds and Freedom. After experiment, experiment data and analysis for them are showed in the paper and then some conclusions are drawn.The research and implementation of anonymous communication system simulation and evaluation platform provide experiment platform and operation project for the future further evaluation research for anonymous communication system.
