| Odor identification plays an important role in many fields such as food industry, cosmetic industry, pharmacy, environmental pollution regulation, energy source detection and chemistry industry etc. "Electronic Noses System", which has been made great improvement in resent years and will keep the rapid development on accuracy and convenience, becomes a new attractive research field.After summarizing some common methods of dynamic data processing, the paper introduces the Kohonen algorithm for pattern recognition, and presents a new data pre-treatment algorithm. An integrated portable electronic noses system, which has excellent performances on cubage, weight and power consumption, has been developed. The system communicates with PC by RS232 interface and USB interface, and can be supplied by USB conveniently. The features of gas sensor arrays, data acquirement from dynamic signals and realization of temperature control are discusied in detail in this paper. At the same time, the theories of USB and the USB interface design based on PDIUSBD12 are also described. At last, the hardware and software design have been introduced. Employing this system, qualitative experiments are carried out with drink samples in exoteric circumstance, the results show the system is stable, sensitive, and with good classification performance. |
