Object of this paper is cinder scraping manipulator which is applied to the course of alumina smelt. The deficiency of the dreg machine originally in the work is analyzed by combining the actual industrial and mining's environment. The propose is to improve scheme, combining fictitious technology and traditional experience theory. Pro/Engineer, ADAMS and ANSYS are used to analyze the cinder scraping manipulator. Thereinto, the real motion state of the simulation organization is simulated. At the same time, the rationality of design is verified. At last, structure weight will be optimized. These can lead the production cost to be reduced.Application study is the emphasis point of this subject. The feasibility and rationality of the structure of the manipulator will be foreseen and mastered. Here is the following work mainly.Firstly, the application of developing technology and relevant technology are explained. The technological way to realize this project is put forward;Secondly, primitive operation principle and motion mechanism of the manipulator is analyzed, while the reasons which cause the defect of the primitive mechanism are pointed out. According to original actual motion parameter of organization, journey was calculated. So, the overall improvement scheme and mechanism structure are confirmed.Thirdly, 3D model of every spare part of the cinder scraping manipulator was set up using Pro/E project software. Meantime, the relative relation between the movement parts is analyzed. Then, the assemble sequence rationally was made. Finally, the entity model of the dreg manipulator was produced.Fourthly, the new model of the manipulator is produced among ADAMS by the interface Mech/Pro of Pro/E and ADAMS. The Dynamics simulation was carried on so that the feasibility and rationality of the scheme can be verified.Fifthly, The organization characteristic of manipulator was analyzed using the Finite element analysis software ANSYS.The intensity was checked and the structure of the manipulator was optimized.
