Parlay/OSA system is a fire-new open system. It inherits lots of merit of theconvertional IN with spurning IN's limitation. Now the Parlay/OSA system hasachived the following features which are the kernel idea of IN: one is the separation ofservice and switch and the other is different function entity communicate with openinterface. By doing this, now Parlay/OSA system can already answer for therequirment of service independence with communication network which is defined byNGN.Parlay/OSA system is build up by Parlay GW and Parlay application and a seriesof standard interface whose name is Parlay/API. Parlay GW can abstract thecommuniction network to shield the network's complexity. Parlay application can usethe communication network by call the Parlay/API without profound understanding ofnetwork . Now there are 9 kinds of SCF(service CAPability feature) which is theabstract of communication in the newest Parlay protocol, including GCC(general callcontrol),UI(user interface),CM(connectivity management) and so on.The whole project emphasize on the implement of GCC which is the mostimportant SCF of Parlay/OSA. And it introduces the realization of two kinds ofadd-valure service,iNumber and Qbox by using Parlay/OSA.First of all, the article introduces Parlay/OSA system all-round, include its fabricand component. Secondly, it describes some sorts of add-value services implementedby author. Thirdly, the article is stress on the realization of iNumber service thatmakes use of GCC SCF. In this paragraphic, you can see GCC how to abstract thebottom network, and call flow, performance analysis etc. Lastly, it introduces anotheradd-value service whose name is Qbox..By comparing the different implement of twoservices, you can know GCC how to work and understand the principle ofParlay/OSA.
