Ipv6 Automatic Address Configuration And Neighbor Discovery And Realization

IPv6 is the abbreviation of "Internet Protocol Version 6(IPv6)"。It is the next generation of Internet Protocol designed by IETF, and designed to replace "Internet Protocol version 4(IPv4)", which has brilliant achievement in past years. However, so many defects involved in IPv4 have appeared now. Of all these problems, the absence of addresses is required to be resolved urgently, which can't be resolved completely by IPv4 itself, while IPv6 can. Now, many new protocols and technologies have been added to IPv6, such as address auto-configuration, security, the mobility and better performance etc., and more and more applications and devices based on IPv6 had been put in business market and accepted by SP(Service Provider ) step by step. This article discusses the protocol and figure out implementation of address auto-configuration and Neighbor Discovery for IPv6; Further, thesis has provided some creative methods in implementations. This thesis is composed of six chapters. Preface is in the first chapter,which mainly focus on figuring out current status of IPv4 and IPv6 protocol,and contents of this thesis; The second and third chapter discuss the background and foundation theory of IPv6 address auto-configuration and Neighbor Discovery protocol;Based on self comprehension with protocol enough discussion was given out for some cruces;The fourth chapter mainly used to figured out the exact fuctions and features of system;The fifth chapter gave out the exact implementing content of address auto-configuration and Neighbor Discovery for IPv6 system;Further more, this thesis list out some important data structures,process flowing and system interfaces etc. ,provide of some kernel processing flow and new views; For some confusion process points, flowing chart and clear notes of each processing step are taken as necessary;The sixth chapter is the last parts,which mainly responsibleing for summarize all this thesis and discussing some crucial points,At last this thesis give out the further works needing to be finished in future.
