With developing rapidly of the complex electronic systems, people make apoint of the research of the testing means and technologies. ATE&ATS supply theeffective ways to testing, maintaining and servicing huge systems. In ATE & ATS,the System Simulation Test Platform (STP) using the modeling and simulationtechnology, and with the computer's strongly computing and controlling capable,supplies the simulation environment, which is necessary for the tested system. Itsolves the difficulty in the system-level testing, and has a great developmentforeground.In the weaponry devices, the embedded real-time (RT) system is used widely.But the testing methods are limited in walkthrough and trace which can not satisfyboth of imputing error prompting and precise scheduling relationship until themodeling& simulation technology and hardware in-the-loop (HIL) method appeared.HIL test method can connect the presetting systems with the simulation system orparts to building a whole system. The tester controls the simulation parts and tracksand controls middle states easily. So difficulties at system testing and controlling arefigured out.There are three ways to build a testing platform: Real Environment, Digital,and hardware in-the-loop . This paper analyzes the characteristics and the buildingways of the HIL STP. In virtue of MATLAB software modeling and simulation thesystem, and with RT-LAB software to convert the GUI models to the executablecode and to control the simulation processes, the RT network STP not only cansimulation with opened loop or with closed loop, realize the highly schedulingrequest, but also can extend the RT networks according to the system complexityand scheduling.Such STP has good extension, compatibility, and imports little influencingfaces outside. Tester can easily track a majority of the key and main middle states,and adjust the parameters and input different prompting to complete the fault test.
