In recent years virtual technology developed quickly and turned into a new technique, Virtual instrument is an important part of virtual technology. What is called virtual instrument? It is to define and design the testing ability of the instrument for the request of the testing task, which usually builds in computer platform. It makes customers operate a instrument which designed by himself, when he uses this computer.it integrate computers with testing instruments. This project chooses to realize virtual meters based on object oriented because it can solve the problems such as offering friendly interfaces and solving data visualization. This project is adapted visual c++ under windows operate system to realize the graphical interfaces of virtual meter. This realization makes users need not to have too many computer knowledge and can easily use the software, which can satisfy the need of the common users. Overall the cost is low. This project designs for the need of plane system, but it is also fitted for the meter non-planes, so it has good universality. In this thesis firstly analyze and study the technology of virtual instrument, especially the current popular method for realization this system, and integrate it with the need of customs. We promote the software system of virtual meter under windows operate system based on what you see is what you got. In the chapter 4th, combined with the item, elaborate the design thought, structure and the work principles, particularly the data communication and data emulation mode charged by me, and give flow chart and key points to describe these modules. At last, the thesis sums up the fields the project is adapted to and puts forward the main direction of the further study work and some problems needed to be resolved further.
