The giant magnetostrictive material is a new type of magneto(electro)-mechanical energy conversion material. Due to its giant magnetostrictive strain, high power density, high electromechanical coupling coefficient, and high response speed, this new kind of functional material has been widely concerned in the field of microdisplacement actuator study by so many researchers in China and abroad. Based on the basic property of giant magnetostrictive material, the paper goes into the research and explorement of the key technology of giant magnetostrictive actuator, establishes the application study foundation of the material.The giant magnetostrictive phenomenon and its form mechanism are analyzed in the paper. The basic property of giant magnetostrictive material is well understood and the system of giant magnetostrictive actuator is proposed.A giant magnetostrictive actuator is studied, designed and manufactured. The actuator is made up of two main parts: driving part and active clamping equipment.The mathematical model of the actuator is established. The model is useful for the research of actuator's control system.The experimental study of linear giant magnetostrictive actuator is carried on. The precision and stability are analyzed. And the reasons for the error are analyzed. Some measures are put forward to it in the paper.The structure of planar giant magnetostrictive actuator is analyzed. One-way movement experiment of it is carried on. |
