Because radar system simulation has many advantages such as economy, agility, repeatability and controllability, it is widely used no matter in the scheme argumentation, system development capability evaluation. Environment clutter model and radar receiver is the discussed emphases.This thesis discusses how to use the mapping method to calculate the radar video signal so as to check radar performance. The ground is divided into small clutter cells by range resolution and frequency resolution. A cell can be looked as a point scatter. It's RCS should be mapped into the radar coordinates. The echo is calculated from all point scatters of the same range loop and summed up to get the radar echo at this moment. Then the video signal is produced by the echo from all range loops. The thesis also analyses the altitude echo in detail. The video signal is carried out on computer.How to select the PD signal and the characteristic of the echo in time and spectrum field is discussed as the based theory. At last an radar receiver simulation is erected according to its real processing, including the signal wave, antenna model, synchronization demodulation, A/D transmit, Doppler filter and CFAR detection in turn. Finally, every separate module is joint together as a integrity to simulate the moving target detection, and the result is discussed.
