The availability of network service anywhere, anytime stimulate the research and development of Mobile IP .There are lots of new technology such as Wireless Self-Organizing Network ,Mobile IPv4,Mobile IPv6. IPv6 protocol will be put into application firstly because of its many advantages such as expanded addressing capabilities, stateless address auto configuration , route optimization and security. The MN do not work efficiently in Micro-Mobility condition so the IETF introduces the concept of a Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 network. But traditional Mobile IPv6 are very complex, while going to the foreign network and further more need rebuild its QoS path.HMIPv6 utilize a new node called the Mobility Anchor Point (MAP). Mobile IPv6 can benefit from reduced mobility signalling with external networks by employing a local Mobility Anchor Point. While moving in the MAP domain, MN shows not to change its CoA in HA and CNs so do not need to rebuild its QoS path outside the MAP domain. However, in Hierarchical Mobile IPv6, packets tunnel from the MAP to the MN. This means that every packet to the MN travels via the MAP. However, in a large-scale public network, this inefficient routing mechanism causes QoS deteriorations and heavy node congestions. Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 approaches sacrifice route optimization. So we introduce the improved HMIPv6 approach which support route optimization, which is one of the features of Mobile IPv6 and reduce MAP node congestion. BGW are introduced. The combination of BGW and the MAP works as a MAP of the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6. The BGW will get the information about the MN position and directly send the packets to MN. So solve the problem about route optimization and node congestion. And also we introduce a QoS approach in this improved HMIPv6. At last we implement this approach in Linux and made some experiments in practical circumstance to justify it .
