The Radar Medium Frequency Receiver employ digital signal process algorithm, makes use of flexible digital chips, such as CPLD, special DSP & MCU. It take on the advantage of small cubage, low weight, cheapness, simple configuration, modularization. And it takes on the all advantage of digitalization. Digitalization is current trend of communication and Radar development. The traditional analog receiver is now being replaced by digital receiver gradually. So it has take on a wide foreground This article describes the principal construction modules of the Radar Medium Frequency Receiver, including sofeware modules and hardware mldules. To start, an overall discussion about the Radar Medium Frequency Receiver is presented,including the core module of data processing chip TMS320C6201 DSP, C8051F020 MCU with subsidiary chips as show controller, map type YD-511A LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), every software developing environment and drivers of the bottom etc. In this article, I will dicuss many questions, such as super-speed A/D (Analog signal /Digital signal) conversion,principal DSP algorithm,FFT algorithm realization in fixed_point DSP,calculation and realization of the wave parameter,LCD display format and Chinese characters menu. All problems are detailedly researched and the solution is shown. The design makes some achievement for further research.
