At present the Chinese Tele-media is on the interim after the turbulence, but previously it was on the reformation from the system to the form. Most of the TV producers and the researchers are always devoting their minds to the study of media conformity or the main program, however they lose their sight of the television which has many new development space and which is regarded as a kind of resource in this new widely environment. At the present time the period for TV shows is simply divided into prime and non-prime period by most of TV-producer in China, while they also consider to strengthen the utilization of the prime period in general. The drastic and abnormal competitions have some trouble in its development. Aiming at their ignorance and rough-and - ready attitude of non-prime period, which it is trying to demonstrate whether is necessary or not. To put forward the concept of the sub prime period, the writer researched the relationship of the non prime period and the period, program, media, producer and the specters of TV shows, and expatiated the characters and tremendous potential benefit of the TV period. There is also the assumption which is put forward to the three sub-prime period according to the status of China TV in quo and some new feasibility of the practical operation in the future TV media. The concept of the sub prime period is expected to be the function of pre-research in practical TV media, which improve the capability of the transpositive consideration and which can be directly used into the arrangement and production of TV program, leading the benign use of resources in the TV media and avoiding the unnecessary malign competition and the waste of resources. Meanwhile it can widen the investigative scope of TV program and perfect the theory system.
