Building a Validation platform based on MP3C to accomplish validating a digital system is described in the dissertation. According to the characteristics of the system, the software and hardware platform is constructed and the EXPLORER software is configured. The validation system is made up of APTIX MP3C, Spartan-IIE FPGA and relevant EDA softwares.First, the whole architecture of the validation platform is studied, then the function and implementation of each module are analyzed in detail. The flow of IC design and the importance of IC validation are described; The constitution of MP3C and Spartan-IIE development board are introduced, the performances and applied methods of MP3C's FPCB and FPIC and Spartan-IIE development board's FPGA, I/O and interfaces are described in detail. According to the characteristics of the real time validation, the hardware platform of validating a digital system faster is achieved, which is on the basis of MP3C,and we have realized that how to create validating promptings and collect and observe datas on a development board. In this means EXPLORER software finishes the construction of the system, placing and routing of FPGA and the compiling of FPCB. According to the means the complex FFT chip has been validated and the accurate result has been achieved, which has proved that the validating means is effective. By the validation platform the development period of a digital system is shortened and the efficiency of IC-design is improved. IC-design can borrow ideals from this method in the future.
