Based On Ussd And Sms Information Service Platform

With the rapid development of the network technology and mobile communication technology, the short message service has been used in many domains, such as mobile office, bank, finance and so on. But, the SMS(short message service) has some disadvantages, and in some real-time service it does not work well. So telecommunication service providers bring out the USSD. USSD's full name is the unstructured supplementary service data, and USSD is favored by the telecommunication service providers because of it's advantages. In this document, we introduce the information service platform based on both USSD and SMS. In the platform we will make full use of the advantages of USSD and SMS.Firstly we introduce the principle of GSM, the speciality of GSM and the technology of 3G in the head of the paper. Then the technology of SMS is followed, and it included principle of SMS, the frame and the workflow of SMS. In the same time some protocols associated with SMS are introduced. And the advantages and disadvantages of SMS is the other content of this chapter. The following chapter we introduce the principle of USSD and the advantage of USSD.Secondly we discuss design and implementation of the information service platform, and this part is the emphasis of the document. It consists of the design and frame of the system and the workflow of the platform. In the latter of the chapter, we introduce some applications. In these applications, both USSD and SMS are utilized. And in these aplications the advantages of USSD and SMS can be performed adequately.Finally, we introduce some program technology including multi-thread, SOCKET and stored procedure, etc.
