Wireless sensor network is a special Adhoc network, it has the rapid deployment,self_organization and fault tolerance characteristics.The above described features ensure a wide range of applications for sensor networks such as: military,environment,health,industry control and so on.Recent advances in wireless communication, mirco_eletro_mechanical systems(MEMS) technology, integrated circuit have enabled the development of low_cost, low_power, multifuncational sensor nodes that are small in size and communicate untethered in short distances.The mature in technique and quenty of application needs attracte more and more concern, wireless sensor networks is becoming the domestic and international research hot in wireless network.Current, the research in wireless sensor network concentrates primarily in the protocol of MAC, routing algorithms, position algorithms and data fuse algorithms. The protocol stack each layer's function and data frame form, the uniform interface definition between difference layers and each layer's regular management are considered few. The lowrate wireless personal area networks(LR-WPAN) defined by IEEE802.15.4 has very enormous similarity with wireless sensor networks in the low_power, in the low_cost application demand. This standard has defined the communication primitive between difference layers and the uniform data frame form in the PHY layer and MAC layer and makes up the wireless sensor network's non_ standard flaw in the great degree. This thesis in view of the wireless sensor network above flaw, proposed based on the IEEE802.15.4 standard network plan, expanded the wireless sensor network in the solution compatible simultaneously maintains its algorithm flexibility. In this thesis IEEE Std 802.15.4 is firstly introduced, and the relationship between the standard and wireless sensor network is discussed. Based on IEEE Std 802.15.4, the realization of network construction of wireless sensor network is proposed. Then through scanning the channels, establishment the PAN network and the establishment the association between nodes three steps has constructed a simple network layer. Finally, the algorithms is implemented on the Freescale's 13192DSK-A00 development kit.
