3D visualization of the medical image is a hot subject in the field of VISC and the Biomedical Information Engineering, and it is applied widely in medicine. Pretreatment and 3D reconstruction of medical images are two vital steps in the whole visualization, effecting directly the result and speed of visualization. Based on a general research on methods and survey of 3D visualization of the medical image the dissertation studies mainly contrast enhancement, interpolation and volume rendering technology from the cross-sections.According to DICOM3.0 standard, main work and algorithm innovations of the dissertation as following:1. Theory of Fuzzy Set is amply investigated, and a fast fuzzy enhancement algorithm which fits for CT/MR images is proposed;Performance analysis and the experiment indicate that the algorithm reduces the computation load and speeds up the process compared with the traditional algorithms.2. Radon Transform is attempted to enhance the medical image, and a contrast enhancement method of medical images based on Radon Transform is proposed. Experimental result demonstrates that the proposed scheme not only can process the medical image more clearly and is implemented more simply, but also is more robust to noise than traditional enhancing methods.3. Investigate DICOM 3.0 Standard, then realizes display of the dcm image and interpolation of cross sections by information of it's self.4. Aiming at fuzzy impact of direct interpolation methods based on grey scale, matching of medical images for interpolation is studied and implemented;the result reveals that the method not only resolves the above-mentioned defect, but also is complete automatization.5. Using the results of the above-mentioned pretreatment, 3D reconstruction is done respectively using Marching Cubes and Ray Casting algorithms, and main steps and process of 3D visualization of medical images are completed. Experiment shows that this scheme of 3D visualization is worthy of reference and application.
