Data Mining Application In The Evaluation And Selection Of Suppliers

In the process of economic globalization, the competitions among companies turn into the competitions of supply chain. Data Mining as a fast developing area in computer science intends to discover useful and understandable knowledge hidden in large number of data. And its application in plants and corporations becomes more and more popular. The contents of this paper are: summarizing the research backgrounds and research meaning of this thesis;in accordance with the requirements of the company, choosing the supplier evaluation aspects and building up the evaluation index system;setting the weight of each index;as the emphasis of the discussion, using the concepts and methods of rough set theory in supplier evaluation. Through the attributes and rules reduction, the minimum solution of categorizing rules and its translation into natural language are obtained;finally, probing the shortages in the paper and forecasting the future research work.
