The development of the modern society is striding forward to information phase. The city is such zone which holds dense people, economy, technology and information on the earth, therefore, the city information bears the brunt of all information technology, and has become the focus and center of information. The city information is mainly realized by the development of information technology and the construction of information basal equipment, and is represented by "digital city". And as the environment, information representation platform and alternant interface which digital city needs executing, the virtual city has become the important representative manner of the city information. And the city scene model and 3D visualization are the central technology in the processing of constructing the virtual city. Connected correlative research task, in this paper, the theory on virtual city construction, the modeling and visualization on 3D urban scene, the query and the analysis, urban model network browse are discussed and studied.The paper includes three great parts:1. The principle, method and the key technology on the construction of virtual city are deeply researched. On the basis of the idea of virtual geographic environment, the system structure on the virtual city is given.2. The modeling and visualization on the virtual city scene are significantly studied and realized. And a kind of Object Oriented data model used to model and visualize virtual city scene is advanced. The 3D modeling technology on the terrain, physiognomy and building which face virtual city construction are roundly investigated. Base on above-mentioned and connect research task, a fast modeling method is brought forward. The real-time rendering, the accelerative algorithm and the enhanced third dimension technology are comprehensively studied. At the same time, the efficient algorithm on the real-time rendering is advanced by analyzing the Levels of Details and the visibility culling algorithm.3. The query and analysis on the spatial geometrical information are studied and achieved, and the method on urban network issue by VRWL is given.Finally, a virtual city prototype system is established in this paper. And it has been applied in the "Digital Suzhou industrial section". |
