Computational Grid is a cooperative computing environment, which collects all kinds of high performance software and hardware computing resources distributed in WAN and provides networked computing services. However, in the computational grid environment, resources are distributed, heterogeneous, dynamical and autonomous, so the resource scheduling is one of the challenging tasks.Throughout analyzing and researching the resource scheduling and the load balancing of the computational grid system at the present, the defects in the computational grid resource scheduling mechanism paper are pointed out, such as without thinking about the unique requirement of the users before resource scheduling and the load balance and so on. In order to solve the challenging resource scheduling problem in Computational Grid, this paper takes the unique requirement of users, resource information and resource load balancing into account, and realizes the self-adaptive resource scheduling for Computational Grid. Research in detail on self-adaptive resource scheduling:(1) A XML-based resource representation model and a XQuery-based resource querying model are put forward, which have the characteristics of semistructure, briefness and transplant.(2) A personal resource requirement description mechanism is put forward, by which computational grid jobs can express their software and hardware related resource requirements on-demand. The mech mism helps accelerate the process of resource seeking and matching, and especially provides powerful support for optimized resource scheduling for different jobs.(3) A general self-adaptive resource scheduling algorithm is designed and implemented, which takes load balance and users requirement into account. According to the personal resource requirement of a computational grid job, the scheduling algorithm globally self-adaptively weighs candidate computational grid nodes and chooses an appropriate node for a job from the candidates finally.The self-adaptive resource scheduling technology for Computational Grid studied in the thesis has been applied to Campus Computational Grid of NWPU and achieved satisfying effect. Especially, a part of the achievements also have been applied to the current big super computing center of Shanghai Super ComputingCenter. China.
