Evidence-based Medicine Information Service Security System

Evidence-based medicine (EBM), as a new clinical medical mode, has been developing rapidly in clinical medicine in the 1990's.The idea of evidence-based medicine (EBM) is being followed with interest and accepted by increasingly more people in medical circles, furthermore, EBM is regarded as "the 21st clinical medicine".Evidence and its quality are of the key issues in evidence-based medicine. Retrivaling, choosing and appraisaling the best evidence of EBM is an important step of practicing EBM. Practicing EBM put more requirements for medical information service. The development of EBM needs scientific evidence, while scientific evidence needs the innovation of medical information service. In order to satisfy the requirement of EBM, the medical information service must change the traditional service mode and content. So it is necessary to explore the effective EBM information service mode and to set up EBM information service protective system.This paper reviewed the concept, characteristic and the current status of EBM at home and abroad. It also certified the information service department should construct and complete EBM information service protective system in order to grasp the opportunities and meet the challenge.
