Authoring virtual stories is a difficult and challenging issue. In this paper virtual storytelling is considered as narrative potential, the integration of agency and narrative. The author will talks about storytelling, analyze the nature of a story, explain different ways of storytelling like character-base interactive storytelling and Al-base storytelling, and involve the generation of interactive storytelling. During the storytelling chapter author talks about the conception of HTN (hierarchical task network), analyze how it can be implemented in making a good story. After that the author will briefly review the background of planning involving some information about AI (artificial intelligence), explain the basis of planning, the planning problems, the basic representation of planning, the rule set syntax, and the rule selections. Currently there are many ways of planning, such as operator-base planning, logic-based planning, case-based planning, and so on, the author will introduces these planning algorithms and focus on how POP (partial order planning) works with graphs. Prolog is a powerful software in intelligence systems, author will briefly discuss how it works, and use which to generate a virtual story involving planning. By providing the story data, author will generate a virtual story under the given preconditions and final goal. The excepted output are various stories, the author will discuss why these stories differs from one another by analyzing how the planner works.
