Public Security Command Center Alarm Volume Analysis

Data Warehouse, a recently developed technology, sets its foundation on the Management Information System (MIS), rearranges the data in MIS and is an approach to support policy-making. It is a subject-oriented, integrated and ever-changing data set.Data Warehouse is just a foundation of analyzing and decision making, and therefore there has to be a powerful tool to do such analyzing and decision making accordingly. OLAP, based on Data Warehouse, is the needed technology to specifically support the complex analyzing operation. To satisfy the needs of accessing certain online data on and analyzing a specific problem, OLAP will, with the support of multi-dimension model, access data in a quick, steady and interactive way, allowing the controller to make a deep study and analysis of the data.As it is illustrated in the thesis, while carefully studying and researching Data Warehouse and the technical fundamental of OLAP and its developing methods, I program and devise practically the System of Analyzing the Amount of Receiving Alarms (SAARA), integrating 110, 119 and 122 into one, of which three the body of the Police Commanding Center of Dezhou City consist. On the basis of the commanding and controlling software being used presently by the Commanding Center, this SAARA system takes out and transforms the present data in Database and sets up the analytic Data Warehouse of the amount of receiving alarms. It may analyze and deal with various subjects according to the actual needs of the decision-makers, to whom it thereby provides analytic information and certain support in decision making. This is an exploring project towards actual application.
