With the rapid and prosperous development of China's economy, China's international journalism and communication, especially business reporting, has progressed gradually and steadily. China's reform and opening achievement and its amazing speed of development has attracted people all over the world. More and more people came to China and invested in China, actively seeking cooperation opportunities. They have imminent need to know more about China's economy situation. Therefore, finance and economy reports with the language carrier of English have received massive notice. Further study and research on English business reporting are necessary. This is just the aim of this thesis.Starting from the meaning, social function and general characteristics of"English business reporting", this thesis has analyzed and studied the language characteristics from the aspects of headline, structure, number usage, quotation, and background material handling with massive vivid examples. Based on this, this thesis analyzed the paticularities of China's English business reporting and writing, discussed what kind of English business reporter we need, and hence tried to make suggestions on the talent strategy of our English business reporting career.
