Based On. Net Framework Cobol, 2002 Integrated Development Environment

COBOL 2002 Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is designed and implemented based on .NET framework and COBOL 2002 standard. The memory management, compile model and VSIP of .NET are researched. Based on the research result, the architecture of COBOL 2002 is issued and the main component of the system is introduced. The editor module and debugger module of IDE are disserted.In the thesis, all the work and research result can be summarized as follows:1) By the result of researching VSIP, the architecture of COBOL 2002 for .NET framework is issued. On one side, the IDE which described by the architecture has the same user interface with the .NET IDE. On the other side, the COBOL 2002 property is contained in the project type, editor and debugger etc. In addition, the hierarchy management modle for COBOL 2002 project management is issued. In the model, the resolution of the .NET project management and maintenance is remained but the implementation is simplified.2) Design and implemente the editor module for the IDE. Analyzed the requirement of the project file management, the structure of running document table (RDT) is designed for COBOL 2002 project files. The fields in the table suit the requirement of manage COBOL 2002 document. Besides, a kind of 2- dimension text buffer is issued based on 1 - dimension for the capability improvement of document window and the strict format of COBOL source.3) Design and implemente the debugger module for the IDE. A middle storage model and a kind of file format-CDI file of debug information are issued. The model transfers the debug information in CDI files into PDB file by .NET program interface. As a result, the components of debugger which are supplied by .NET IDE can be used for COBOL 2002 project and work well. By this, the procedure of redefine debugger components can be avoided and the implementation of debugger in the IDE can be simplified.The techniques involved in this thesis have been successfully applied in an international project. After get the permit form MS, COBOL 2002 IDE for .NET framework will be promoted into public market.
