| With the level of computer hardware continuously improving, the size and complexity of computer software also increase. It's an urgent problem to be solved that how to optimize and enhance software quality and reduce development costs under the controllable and predictable condition. In the process of software development, if want to manage and conduct your project, have to quantify the size and productivity. Estimating and measuring software scales has been already recognized as an essential requirement during executing the process of software development successfully. This article, "The Study and Practice of Function Point Analysis on Software Size Estimation", researches the rule of FPA, uses Liner Regression Analysis Model to analyze the management information of developed project and put forward an executable standard to be used in some enterprises which are engaged in software outsourcing. Besides, the tool which can calculate FPA has been developed.Following are the main contents of the article:Firstly, the calculation rules, applicability, merits and demerits of FPA are introd uced.Secondly, according to FPA's demerits, researched the enforcement model of FPA and put forward an executable standard. In this standard, Liner Regression Analysis Model was used to analyze the management information of developed project for building a basic developed database which is advantageous to new projects.Thirdly, according the executable standard, the tool has been developed that aids to calculate FPA and enhances the estimate efficiency.Fourthly, using FPA's standard and estimate tool which has been developed, design-nated the appropriate development project to estimate the FPA. The estimate results would be used in other similar projects to verify the FPA's Model. The verification results would be used to analyze and summarize. Finally, appraising and summarizing merits and demerits of the executable standard and Liner Regression Analysis Model which established in this article put forward the proposal for the following researches. |
