Computer-aided Product Development Process Modeling Tools

The product development process modeling is a scientific method to comprehend product development process systematically as well as the foundation of product development management. It has also important practical significance to product development. As the process complexity leads to the complexity of process modeling, it makes the manual modeling with difficulty, so, process model should complete by the computer-aided modeling. The tool of computer-aided product development process modeling (CAPDPMT) is the one which uses the method of product development process modeling in computer. This article develops a system of CAPDPMT based on the ProA modeling method.First, this article has studied the present situation and development tendency of product development process modeling method showed in domestic and foreign references, produced the merit of ProA modeling method, analyzed the significance of process modeling tool, and gave an introduction to the framework of the content in this article.Next, based on the ProA modeling method, the article has analyzed the function requirement and modeling demand of CAPDPMT, elaborated the model elements in process modeling, constructed the aggregate plan and design of system to CAPDPMT, and established the system function model.Once more, the article has analyzed the requirement entity of the active-process modeling tool according to the demands of activity-process modeling, integrated the system E-R chart, optimized the data model which is used in process modeling tool, and designed the database which is designed surrounding the activity entity.After that, under the C# development environment, and through the analysis to the function of system main menu, we have designed the various module function interfaces to CAPDPMT, and introduced the interface layout and realized algorithms in detail according to the interface function.
