When the B3G system takes the signals from RF frontier, it should pass them to the baseband part of the system for those digital signal process. So there should be an interface between the RF and baseband which could correspond with each other easilyThe whole design of the B3G RF-Baseband interface is based on the FPAG of Xilinx Virtex-II Pro VP70. The design also uses the PowerPC405 hardcore which embedded in the FPGA. This kind of arrangement could make the design easier. In the interface, all the control signals are passed through SPI module, and this SPI part takes the core function of the whole design; there is also a RS232 module which could pass the signal performance to the compute for analyse.Chapter 1 of the paper has an introduction of the background of the system and some original souce of the research field. This chapter also describes the direction and the finial fruit of my research.Chapter 2 describes the theory of the AGC AFC APC which relate to the RF-Baseband interface in detail. This chapter also make some improvements of these theories based on the practical test results and the character of B3G system.Chapter 3 is the core of the whole paper. It takes a detailed discusstion of the implement on the FPGA for the RF-Baseband interface. There are two parts in this chapter—Verilog codes part and PowerPC part. The Verilog codes part emphasized the calculation of the signal energy and the pass of frequency offset. The PowerPC part emphasized the calculation of the control characters of AGC AFC APC which would be passed through SPI interface to RF frontier. For debug, the RS232 module is also added into the PowerPC part. This module could be used to monitor the performance of the signal.Chapter 4 is the outdoor testing result of the whole system. Of the result, the paper puts more energy on the RF-Baseband interface part. The finial chapter summarizes the whole design and also forcasts the future research direction. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | AGC, AFC, APC, SPI | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
