The scene simulation system of the launch vehicle is the most spectacular and expressive subsystem of the digital system of the launch vehicle, besides, it is the core research of the whole simulation system either. The 3D model of the simulated object is created and the scene is real-time rendered with scene simulation techniques in the scene simulation system, and some functions of the flight simulation and real-time roaming of the launch vehicle are implemented.According to the research task which was undertaken in the digital launch vehicle project team, the author did a lot of in-depth research in the field of how to realize the simulation technique. At present, most scene systems are developed in a mode based on the simulation platform with MultiGen Creator/VEGA, which is efficient and easy to learn but lack of flexibility, expensive in software cost or with high-performance requirements for hardware. Moreover, it is inefficient to develop a scene system based on OpenGL or Direct3D. In light of this situation, some works were done to balance the cost of the development, running effect, and the efficiency of the development in this dissertation. Based on this research purposes, the 3D modeling software and the open source graphics engine OGRE were adopted finally in this dissertation, on the basis of deeply study of the scene simulation theories, the scene simulation system of the launch vehicle was designed and has realized.The following are the author's main work:1. Created 3D models of the body of the launch vehicle, launching ground, and the assembling hall with 3DSMAX.2. Developed the organization and management programs of complex 3D scene modeling, achieved 3D models optimized.3. Used OGRE (Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine) for 3D scene driving, and do some redevelopment work based on it.4. Had the frame of OGRE and the scene manager analyzed, realize loading the 3D scene. 5. Participated the design and implement of the main four functional module.
