Starting from 1950's, modern Olympic Games and TV media begins to form ties. Then within the following over half centuries, their cooperation prompts rapidly to"a heaven-made match", which attracts world wide attention. Based on reorganizing the history of cooperation between modern Olympic Games and TV media, this paper focuses on expounding the interactive relations between the two. In this paper, it is believed that TV media plays the most important decisive role in the growth course of modern Olympic Games. First, TV media provide sufficient financial source for the development and the growing strength of modern Olympic Games, then finally impels the formation of a mature industrial chain of Olympic Games; second, TV techniques broadens the propagation range of Olympic Games tremendously, making the globalization dream of Olympic Games come true during the short several dozens years. On the other side, when modern Olympic Games heading to its splendid success, it also produces far-reaching and continuously influence to TV media. First, it promotes the transformation of the reporting way; second, it accelerates TV technology progress; third, it aggravates the competition of TV media. Certainly, TV media has inevitably brought and soon will bring to the Olympic Games some negative influence, meanwhile, Olympic Games also proposes a more stern challenge to TV media. Finally, this paper puts forwards our country's TV media strategy proposal in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. First, to improve the overall quality when our country's TV media reporting Olympic Games, including to urgently"charge"Olympic attainment of our reporters and anchorpersons, to process news report proportion of sports stars and"common ones";to establish a correct attitude towards reporting Gold Medal; second, to through drawing support from Beijing Olympic Games to promote our country's TV media position in the international media; third, with the support of Olympic Games platform to mostly and best propagate our country's positive image.
