With the booming development of information industry, the digitalization of information media and the exceptional growing of computer networks, we can get digital information conveniently and quickly. But the negative effect of digitalization technology has made the copyright and security of digital information products be widely threatened now. In this open computer network environment, it has become much urgent for us to provide efficient copyright and security protection means for the digital information products. So the digital watermarking technology has been put forward for this in recent years. In these years, the research of digital watermarking has been becoming more and more active, and some mature methods have been proposed which can be commercialized directly. The latest research development is to break the original simple model and begin to combine with other signal processing techniques aiming for the better invisibility, robustness and other performances(such as blind extraction). Independent component analysis (ICA) is a newly development of signal processing technique and as a novel approach of blind source separation that received greater attention. Via calculating the high-order statistic information of data, ICA algorithm can separate the observation signals mixed by some mutually independent source signals blindly and effectively. Thus it has been used successfully to extract the image features and separate the mixed signals blindly. Moreover, it starts to be applied to the field of digital watermarking. This paper combines the independent components analysis with digital watermarking, and proposes a blind digital watermarking scheme based on ICA. Meanwhile, we do some research on the DSP implement of this scheme. The main contributions of the thesis are as follows:1) We propose a blind digital watermarking scheme based on ICA. Making use of the great performance of ICA in the image feature extraction, we choose suit coefficients to embed the watermark into the maximum energy image feature which can realize the invisibility of watermark; Making use of the comparability of the process of watermark embedding/extracting and the model of ICA mixing/separating, we realize the blind extraction of the watermark. The experiments show that this watermarking scheme not only has well invisibility but also has good robustness to many attacks and can realize the blind extraction of the watermark.2) We implement the digital watermarking scheme on the TMS3206416DSP of TI. Firstly, we code and debug the digital watermarking scheme on the VC++ 6.0, then the c core codes is transplanted onto the TMS320C6416DSP, finally we explicate in details the problem we encountered when the code is transplanted from VC++6.0 to DSP.The research history of digital watermarking is no more than two decades, and ICA began to be applied to this field just a few years ago. Although it can provide new solutions and novel ideas for the development of digital watermarking, there are still many issues which are worthwhile to be discussed and researched. The DSP hardware implement of the digital watermarking is the direction which makes the digital watermarking go for application, and will stimulate the further development of digital watermarking.
