In actual situation, due to the impact of the multi-path dissemination, and other factors, there are a lot of coherent signals in space. The direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of the coherent signals is a hot spot and important research topic of the array signal processing researches, and it is also one of the basic tasks in radar, sonar and communication, and other fields.This article focuses on the performance of the DOA estimation algorithm in array signal processing and the decorrelation method of coherent signal DOA estimation. It is based on the model of narrow-band and far-field signal and the coherent signal. With the aid of the spatial smoothing idea, the article gives conventional DOA estimation method as well as. the decorrelational DOA estimation method of uniform line array, parallel array and L-array. The author proposes a new method which could estimate the DOA of non-coherent signal in the existence of coherent signals, this new method does not need to search spectral peak, and it can be applied in the decorrelation method and the two-dimensional DOA estimation. The method in this article has small computation load, and it can effectively reduce the loss of the available array aperture that the spatial smoothing method brings. Meanwhile, the double L-array can be used to realize the parameter pair.
