Design, Network Streaming Media System Based On Computer Clusters

As a new information communication Platform, Internet changes people's ways of thinking and communication. The develop of broadband network, the increasing of internet users and people's enjoyment desiring, multi-media network system is facing a new development opportunity.In this thesis, we propose a computer cluster solution to solve high load situation of multimedia system, and the system employs a dynamic adaptive algorithm as its solution for load balancing. Furthermore, we proposed a strategy which combines network file downloading-local playing and stream media playing, and we achieve the controlling from server to client. This strategy can reduce the transmission pressure and instability.The thesis describes requirements analysis of the entire system, function designing and module developing thoroughly. The system performs very well in our testing, and the developed functions match with our original intention perfectly. It is indeed an outstanding application of multimedia system.
